The Orange tree

Childhood

This home is not just yet another one with interesting colors and beautiful landscape.

It has a destiny to fulfill….

When your childhood is spend catching fish from streams, climbing trees and waking up every morning to the song of cuckoo, whichever part of the world you go for a better lifestyle, there remains a tug in the corner of your soul, an yearning to come back, where you truly belong.

Some give in to that yearning, some fills it up with all what new age life style has to offer. Daisy and Jacob choose to come back.

Children

But not so easy!

What about the kids who spend their childhood in the hustle bustle of the city. Will they be willing to relocate the from the vibrant city life to the calmness of the village. Well they wouldn’t. There is nothing in the village that excites them.Having a pizza just by a dial -in would be a distant dream and the shopping malls are not round the corner. No way ! We are not going to live in that “Pattikadu”.

Daisy and Jacob were not ready to give up.They decided to make a home there.A home which will bring the kids happily back to the village A home  which would  have all  the modern facilities one would wish for..A home which they cannot resist.

The banana leaf, the water feature, the patterns in curtain ,wall paper everything is a reflection of what you see outside. The play of abstract and natural patterns make the soul of this beautiful home where now a family of five lives.

Every home has a story to tell and some have very special moments to share.

After project handover,I was waiting there for the photography team pack up and got to hear this.Merlin, the younger one was calling up her sister, who did not yet, see the house.

“Da ,you should come and see this .They have set everything. I am really not sure,if I should call my friends here.It is too good.I have decided ,I am not going to that city flat anymore .”

The young girl stood beside me.

Saw not what her young eyes could see.

A light she said ,not of the sky.
